This intermediate level course in digital art design brings together elements of digital photography and digital painting. Photography has in recent years undergone rapid
technological advancements, and this course provides students with an
opportunity to work first-hand with both practical and abstract aspects
of the subject. Digital painting is the new painting - painting tablets, the new
canvas. Digital Painting guides students in using tablets to sketch and
paint on their computers. Students will learn how to use the technology
to create unique pieces of art, as well as to modify their existing
images and perform photo touch-ups.
This course focuses on:
- The elements and principles of design and techniques of composition
Photo Editing in Photoshop
Use of paint tablets (Bamboo)
Who should take this course?
This is a great course for those students who already know how to use a digital camera but want to learn some interesting effects that can be applied to photos and pictures. An interest in drawing and design is recommended as well.
